Lead Construction Foreman
Charleston Property Restoration is looking for a
Lead Construction Foreman that not only wants to have a job but to have a long-term career. Pay is
$25.00-$30.00 per hour depending on experience. This position is responsible for managing multiple teams, setting expectations for the day’s work, and ensuring deadlines are met. Successful candidates will have demonstrated reliability, leadership, and customer service.
Overview of duties:
- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
- Monitor attendance, morale & skill sets of crew
- Allocate general and daily responsibilities
- Supervise and train workers and apprentices
- Ensure the specifications for the site have been met by the crew and/or subcontractors
- Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
- Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
- Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
- Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget
- Resolve problems when they arise
- Report on progress to Project Manager/Owners
- Drive company truck to customer sites following DOT regulations.
- Completes administrative tasks such as collection of signatures for all work performed, employee time sheets, and other paperwork
- Ensure that all materials are ordered and delivered to the site on time
- Inspect and complete checklist for all equipment, power tools, and machinery prior to and after each use
- Follow company and government safety/health rules and regulations
Skills required:
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with all phases of the construction and building process
- Experience with wood and metal framing, drywall, finishing work, acoustic ceilings, paint work, roofing, masonry, and tile work
- Must be detail oriented, have excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving abilities, and proven leadership skills; the ability to handle multiple projects/tasks
- The appropriate candidate will need to be able to communicate in a professional manner with all persons associated with the program: employees, customers, government officials, and vendors
- The ability to use technology as it pertains to collecting and communicating data, via handheld PC, Outlook, Excel, Computers, Smart Phone, etc.
- Must have a good understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and blueprint reading
- Thoroughly understand project floor plans, fixture placement drawings and construction drawings
- Communicate potential change orders to Project Manager/Owner as soon as they become known
- Manage and communicate client concerns, problems, or complaints on assigned projects
- Mastery with air/hand/power tools
Additional Requirements:
- Three to five years of verifiable experience as a carpenter in residential and/or commercial construction industry (references will be checked)
- One plus years of experience in driving large commercial vehicles (non-CDL)
- One plus years of experience in supervising
- One plus years of experience in all phases of new construction
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
Responsibilities:
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with all phases of the construction and building process
- Experience with wood framing, drywall, finishing work, acoustic ceilings, paint work, roofing, masonry, and tile work
- Mastery of power tools
Requirements:
- Able to work Monday - Thursday 7:00 am to 5:30
- One plus years of verifiable experience as a laborer in residential and/or commercial construction industry (references will be checked)
- One plus years of experience in all phases of new construction
- Advanced knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment
- Must have
reliable
transportation, a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Must have a mobile phone
